Planting in Canadian Zone 5B

greems

I am thinking of planting Avant Garde,Florida Sieboldii and Cassis together because my other half likes the looks of them in the seed catalogue!

Can anyone tell me if they will succeed in my zone (Canada 5B)or should I look at something else?

I am not sure if the American and Canadian zones are the same and we are new gardeners (although we are seniors!!)

We both like the look of the doubles and would definitely like something red. At present I have a Jackmanni and a General Skikorski which I just sort of stuck in the ground two years ago and they have bloomed profusely since the first year. Have never cut either of them back. Should I do so and if so, when?I Also, I have a fairly small Nellie Moser Moser That I once again, just stuck in the ground, and it is coming along nicely, although I do not expext to see it bloom this year at least.

Would appreciate ANY and ALL advice
