Your clematis are beautiful and healthy!! Thanks for sharing all of the pictures. Next year will be the third year for some of mine, so I'm hopeful that some will look as full as yours by then.

Beautiful. How many years on the Jackmanii and Ernest Markham?

About 20 years on the Jackmanii and Ernest Markham. They would be taller, but I forgot to tie them up as they were shooting up so a huge portion of each of them flopped down the front.

I should take a picture of my neighbor's Polish Spirit. That one is amazing given that it was just a cutting a year ago.

WOW. Maybe I should be more excited about moving to Colorado. Daughter moved to Louisville (NO 1 Place To Live according to Forbes Magazine yesterday) and is trying to get us out there. Am in Chicagoland and collect Hostas and keep telling her I don't think they'll do well there and she keeps telling me to 'find another plant'. I have twelve clems but they sure don't look like that!!!! Where are you? It looks like you have grass and trees and I can never find places with enough green when I'm out there!!!

Westy - there are a couple of houses in my neighborhood for sale (at least 1 acre lots). I'm just a bit south of Louisville, Colorado - near Rocky Flats.
And you can grow hostas if you have shade. My neighbor has quite a few.
Clematis do fantastic here. And so do roses. I have over 400 roses. Oh, and at least 200 daylilies - they love it here too. So you have lots of plants to choose from.

Cnetter, just noticed your photos today - wow, they are just beautiful! And you say you have roses and daylilies too....that calls for more photos, any time you're ready:)
