| Just picked up the August issue of Fine Gardening magazine - there is a nice clematis article in it, lots of color photos and a long list of outstanding clematis from a trial they did. They list 3 sources - Brushwood, Joy Creek and a nursery called Whitney Gardens and Nursery. Has anyone heard of this one? Any comments on it?

| I read that article as well. Can't comment on the sources as I'm in Canada but one very interesting comment in there was that you should plant clematis at least one ft. away from the foundation because of the concrete leaching out from the house and may kill the clematis. I have an 100 year old house and all the clematis I have planted over the years last one or two years then die so come this spring, I will be on a shopping spree. Good article |
