| I purchased a "small" Nelly a couple of months ago (it was in a pot about 4 inches) and planted it in a spot that gets sunshine only in the afternoon, after about 2 o'clock, until sunset. It has grown some, although slowly, but I expected that as it was a small plant.
Is it likely to survive in this spot or should I move it to another location. My other spots are fairly sunny all day and I read that it needed some shade to keep it's colour. I am in Canadian Zone 5b. |

| yes, it needs some shade to keep it's color. Clematis are very slow to start growing. Don't expect much for three to four years. |
