Suggestions for clematis to plant with azaleas

I have established white azalea bushes in full sun that bloom in very late May/early June. I would like to plant some clematis to climb through the shrubs that would bloom sometime after the azaleas are finished to provide some later color in this area. The clematis would have to be the type that are cut to the ground each year. Any color would work except light pink. Any suggestion?

The viticellas will bloom after this, and are cut to the ground each winter. Dark purples would include Etoile Violet, Blue Belle, Polish Spirit or Jackmanii (with viticella blood), lighter blue/purple would be Prince Charles, Emilia Plater or Blue Angel, dark pink would be Margot Koster, Mrs. T. Lundell, Marmorii or Tentel. Also with viticella blood try Margaret Hunt or Madame Baron Veillard.

Gravety Beauty is a nice red viticella. Mine has been blooming continuously since spring.
