| Well, I just got back from vacation and my 2 year old Bourbon Clematis looked dead. We have had very little rain here in So WI since June-I had asked my teenager to water and she claims she did, but the Bourbon looked as if it had just gone thru winter. There were 2 vines that still had some green at te top. I pruned it down to the ground and watered it, is there anything else I should do? Thanks for any help you can give me.

| No worries. Some years ago I hired a lawn service to mow and trim while I was on vacation. As I pulled into my driveway, I saw my purple Clematis completely wilted! The guy had weed wacked it to the ground. It's done very well for many years after and is still thriving. |
