My Elsa is in full sun and just loves it. It blooms like crazy. The pot you have it in my be drying out and causing it to look bad. I think as long as it gets enough water, full sun is fine. It may need more than 4 hours of sun to bloom well. I think most need 6 hours of sun to bloom well.

You are right, the pot is probably drying out. My Elsa tag says part sun. Your climate may be more favorable as well without really high temps that we get here.
