American Clematis Society dissolving

I just happened to land on their website during a search (American Clematis Society) and I saw a dissolution notice effective 12/31/2011.

any insights? do we care?

I tried to explore the website to find something and I couldn't get off the homepage with the announcement, so maybe its dissolved already.

You're right, I couldn't get off the Note from the President front page either. Hmmm. Glad I cancelled my subscription this year! Too bad though, such a great site I'm sure it once was too.

I just tried it and the FAQ's and Ask Edith work OK but the Clematis A-Z link does not.

Isn't there a different Clematis society? That website is not familiar to me at all.

Ah yes, the International Clematis Society, I'd never even heard of the one that is disbanding....
