Frustrating. The heat can be as deadly to a Clivia as frost. There is a guy in the San Diego area whose greenhosue gets to 120 in summer. Mine have tolerated a week of low 110's. Another guy in Australia (I think) reported them surviving temps of roughly 130F in his greenhouse. They don't like it and mine have looked very sad during those minor heat waves here in CA. Keep yours watered, have a fan blow, bring them indoors, keep them fully shaded. Probably all things you've tried. Don't water in the crown. You can even water the mature healthy ones once a week, not daily with those temps. In the ground will do better than in black pots. Bigger pots to insulate the roots. If anyone else can think of things to do to protect the Clivias in Phoneix heat, please add on.

Misting their leaves and sorroundings with good air flow help cool them down. And if you have your clivias potted and can afford it...use clay pots which keeps their roots cool. Mulch the top soil with something like moss or pine leaves to maintain moisture. Minimize fertilizers. This worked with my clivias this summer. But then, we only had 9osF temps on some occasional days. It was a cooler and shorter summer this year with lots of rain here in VA.

As for misting, my water is so hard and salty that misting does more damage than good--and then the misters clog up! I guess I'll just have to give up, dig them up, pot them, and drag them into the greenhouse in summer. Oh, well!
