This is my first try to post a photo on this forum. It is a rather special yellow green throat grown from seed obtained from Nakamura in 2001. It flowered first time this year and I called it after my daughter Madeleine.

This is the first try posting any message here and I would like to not go back to a subject that I now realize is long gone by..... re: the word Kaffir (as in Kaffir Lily). I was born in Natal, So Africa and had wanted to join in the discussion since I have a feeling that I am the only black that would have participated in the discussion. As I said at the beginning, the subject is old and seemingly closed, thus will only say, "Hi everyone".

Natalmum, I just realized what "Kaffir" refers to after a conversation with a S. African friend. Let's just agree t call it clivia and leave it at that, right? Some old names are best left for the books (wandering jew, etc.)
