Light of Buddha vs. Akebono

I find it difficult to identify the difference in pictures that I see. Are there distinguishing traits between the two? I realize that the first is of Chinese breeding and the second is Japanese. Do they stay they true to "form"? Any other information about them would be appreciated as they certainly have caught my eye!

The Japanese Akebono is generally true to form. It also seems to transfer pretty well to its seed progeny, as well as to it's offsets. These bands are typically season, and form in the spring with green color produced the rest of the year.

LOB is a Chinese form that is less regular, but can still be seasonal.

If I have a choice, I'd go with Akebono.

Craig...Have you tried using Akebono pollens on green leafed seed parent? Will this produce any akebono seedlings or none at all?
