Beautiful!!! And flowers looks huge too! How big were the flowers? And does all Nakamura yellows have big flowers?

Maria that plant had flowers that were 75mm or 3 inches in diameter so they were just slightly larger than average. That was the plants 2nd bloom so they may have been even bigger for the person who purchased it. I hope the sibling plant will bloom for me this spring again.

The plant pictured shows very strong Vico Yellow influence. Vico yellow was one of the plants used extensively in Nakamura's breeding program.

Nakamura did have a huge yellow that was a famous plant. It was called Chiba lily. It's flowers were 130mm or 5 inches in diameter. Any plant with Chiba in the name is probably from it's breeding. If you search enough seed lists or ask on the forums I am sure you can find crosses involving this plant.

Hey Tedd! Thanks for those infos. I do have a few seeds from Japan that is a cross of 2 Vico yellow hybrids. Now I am more EXCITED about them! Hope I can grow them to a beautiful clivia someday.
