We eat a lot of grapefruit and put the cut up rinds in the compost pile each day. Is that too much acid going into the pile?

I'm sure unless you have a super large family eating grapefruit by the tons you'll be ok with the ph. Compost is usually always neutral. That's what so great about the golden tilth.
