| No, I don't, but if you find one, or even a group trying to start one, I'd be interested. |

| Yes, I know of a community garden in Reno, NV. Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Southwest Reno is part of Wahoe County Parks Department. They are in the initial stages of a community garden. Please call the park at (775) 828-6612. I believe they are awaiting public or private funding, but if there is a group established the process may move along more quickly. |

Yes, there are several community gardens in Reno and some to come in Sparks (soon)...One, Paradise Park Community Garden. Participating is an elementary school with 20 classes involved year around, many individual community members, a few couples, a senior citizen housing group, a disabled group in a raised bed, a couple of businesses, and an ongoing project on permaculture. This garden was implimented by the City of Reno and is maintained by the particpating gardeners. There are no dues or fees. A second garden is located on Neil Rd. It too, was implimented by the City of Reno Parks Dept. There are individuals and groups involved there. There are many plots still available. A third park is beginning in Bartley Ranch Park. There is information thru Washoe County Parks Dept., Nv. There are many individuals interested in Sparks also on community gardens. Call the Sparks Parks Dept. for more information or contact the local cooperative extention office. |
