This year is the first year I will be planting in a community garden. I have had for years a garden, rose garden and perennial garden at my house, which is being foreclosed on. So...any tips and techniques I should know about. I know about gardening but with the community garden I feel like a novice! I know I am planting tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. Thanks!

RE: community garden

I am currently managing a community garden. We are looking to expand our operation and I would really love some feedback on your community garden.
I'm especially interested in:
1. Under what auspices is your community garden(s) formed and overseen (public body, church, community organization, etc.)
2. Do you provide water for the gardeners?
3. How large is your garden?
4. How many plots?
5. Does it have fencing?
6. Are there restrooms nearby or are portalets provided?
7. Is htere parking nearby?
8. Is it handicapped accessible?
9. Are there other amenities (tool sheds, picnic benches?)
I would appreciate any and all feedback on this.
Thanks.
