Chicago Community Garden?

I'll be attending Loyola University Chicago next year and I'm not from the area, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any community gardens in the area. At home I have plenty of room, but I'll be living in a dorm for the next two years, so I'm looking to join a community garden. Any advice on how to locate one, or if you know of one in the area would be very helpful!
Thanks much!

Hi Chicago Kale,

I'm out in the western suburbs of Chicago. I do know that Chicago has community gardens. They are run by the Chicago Park District. You need to talk to them. If you have a problem get back to me and I'll see what I can find out.

You can also google Chicago community gardens and a lot of resources will come up.

Hope this helps.
