I have been contimplating the idea of starting a community garden in my town for a while now. I would imagine that the process is exhausting but I feel I am mentally prepared. With urban sprawl gobbling up every bit of open space around me I feel that time is of the essence. I am positive that the community would only prosper from such a program. I plan to have all walks of man involved. I would like the schools to be able to use the property for horiculture programs, possibly use the veggies to feed the hungry families in the area. I have all these wonderful ideas I just need some direction. I am in my early 20's and fear that I will not be taken seriously. I have always been an avid gardener so I know many fellow horticulturists that will stand behind me. Any advice would be appreciated.
