 o
Portland, OR community gardens directory - is your included?

Dear community garden enthusiasts:

As part of a Food System Sustainability Assessment, the Institute of Portland Metropolitan Studies at Portland State University is compiling a comprehensive directory of community gardens in the Portland region. This directory is intended both as an information resource for the community and as a research tool that will allow us to track changes in community gardens over time.

Currently, a list and map of all the gardens we have identified to date is available on our website at
http://www.pdx.edu/ims/commgardens.html. We are seeking input on gardens we have missed so that we can make the directory as complete as possible. We have also been gathering information about the characteristics of these gardens, including size, user restrictions, plot availability, and amenities, and will be making that information available in a later release.

Please pass this on to anyone you know who is interested in community gardens, and send us your feedback on the site and the list so far.

Thanks!

Becky Dann

Becky-

I am currently in the process of starting a community garden on the property of Valley View Church @ 11501 SE Sunnyside Rd. We are having a planning/organizational meeting Thursday, Jan. 29 @ 7:00 PM that the church has allowed us to meet in their building for. I'd love to be added to your listing, and definitely pass along this info to interested parties. Thanks!
