New planted English Laurls are drying up. The edges are drying out, turning brown about one half inch around the leaves. The plants are planted on the east side of the house. The last few weeks the tempatures were in the low 100s but has cooled off to the 80s. The plant were doing well in the 10 inch pots until planted. Our soil is slightly basic with a ph 7.6 Our waters ph is about 7.4. The plants have not been fertlized or sprayed with anything.
Please help.

Bob

Bob, in the UK these plants never go wrong !!!. It sounds like it may be too hot or perhaps they are being dehidrated by the wind ?. In both cases tidy the dead off them to a healthy bud and keep them watered until well established.
I only wish I had the same problem caused by your wonderfull weather!!!!. Make a pleasent change from a high of 70 and usually wet!
Good Luck Alan
