Hmmmmmm ????

I've been reading for days about mum's runners: snip & not to snip; perhaps all the energy is being spent sprinting in a marathon?
Also: am trimming/edging around the beds; can I use the sod as mulch for winterizing? Maybe it's too heavy; as it will get wet.
I also have extra bark/chips/mulch for decorative/weed control left; can I use it around the mum plants for our zero temps here in Green Bay Packer country? Maybe that's too light weight? They do have a shallow root system I notice.
I've Got to Stop Buying These Greens for New Adventures & Experiments!!!!! I of course, say that evr'y season when the new cat'ls arrive.
Suggestions and guidance would be Most Appreciated. Jaemy jaemybrackob@tds.net

RE: Hmmmmmm ????

This forum is pretty much dead, as you can see. You could try the Perennials or Cottage Gardens forums for advice. They are very busy and helpful.
