International Garden Community

Hi, I´m Marcelo from Brazil, from the South but since 2000 I moved to Rio to start my landscape and garden maintance business. I went to college in Costa Rica, and also did 4 internship at the Missouri, Atlanta, Michigan and Disney.

I don´t know how but I would like to start an international garden community to exchange experience, pictures and seeds. Also would like to offer my home and my garden to receive some interns or volunteer to work with us in our small company and Certainly we can visit the famous tropical gardens of Roberto Burle Marx.

My best regards
Marcelo Oliveira

RE: International Garden Community

One way you might do this is by asking on various international forums here and becoming 'known' through your contributions to discussions.

I'd suggest you first start on the very active forums and become easy with the strong personalities and opinions.

If you have a look on the Companion Plants forum you can see a posting from a scientist doing interesting work with tropical aroids in Florida. I found her to be very open and friendly. If her work is useful to you also then you could maybe follow her link and make contact.

In such ways you can put together your own network of international specialists for sharing and visiting.

In addition to familiar places you may also wish to consider making contacts in the Pacific nations and states.
