What happens to those tender annuals the town grows?

What do you think happens to all those beautful annual displays in the containers around town???? Especially the ones you could overwinter like cannas and hibiscuses..... I should call up the town and ask..... I'd hate to see them all thrown away..... I'd take a few and they could be donated to a local community garden..... :)

Where I work 9 out of ten the annuals get pulled up by kids and thrown all over the place .. sad but true.

Good Day ..

Where I work, we pot up the hibiscus and items that can be salvaged and reuse them elsewhere. Here the cannas are a perennial and left alone. The annuals (pansies, snaps, some annual salvias and such) usually get composted, folks that want them usually come to the work site and load up. Trudyjean
