petunias, amaranth, and sweet alyssum are great with potato. Tried them last year and I got a bumper crop!

Would it be a good mix to plant potatoes near my tomatoes, with onions inbetween? Thanks, for your help.

Not a good match, potato and tomato are attacked by the same blight! Onions are great with tomato. They keep away tons of bugs. If you have my problem (I can't get an onion to grow to save my life) plant chives in small short rows by your tomatos.

Flax is a good companion for potatoes if you have Colorado Beetle - haven't tried it yet myself but am going to this year!

Potato and cabbage work well together. I have found a lot of charts that say they are a good match. I ave never tried it myself, I don't like cabbage. Try this link for an excellent companion chart.

The good thing about Potatoes and Cabbage is that you get a cornd beef brisket and eat all three at the same time, Yum. I'vew also heaqrd Nasturtiums and or beans go well with Potatoes aswell.
