Plant battle!

| Some years ago in the tiny bed of a rented apartment, in a bit of guerrilla gardening in what had otherwise been a neglected bit of dirt, a friend of mine planted some mint next to the neighbor’s strawberry patch. We watched as the mint exploded in size, and then as the two plants began to do battle. There were strawberry runners in the mint, and sprigs of mint coming up in the strawberry. It was really something to behold. I wonder if by now the two plants have filled the entire patch, which, thankfully, was ringed by sidewalk. If not for the sidewalk I would worry about the battle growing to epic proportions and eating all of Boston.
Are there other aggressive garden plants that are suited to fight one-another like this? It might be fun to set up some pairs of such plants in closed containers and watch them duke it out.

| Although not as aggressive as mint and strawberries, there are a few that come to mind. These are: chives, Egyptian onions, rhubard, oregano, and horseradish. |
