Companion Plants

Name a companion for my new Speedwell Veronica

Today I planted two blooming Veronica alpina 'Goodness Grows' in a bed with 'Indian Summer' Rubeckia, shasta daisies, sweet allysum and some red pentas. I have some extra space, about 3'x 3' that I need to plant something. This area get all afternoon sun. Thanks for your responses as I am in a rush to get this done since I'm having a large gathering in just less than a month.

Salvia 'Indigo Spires' would be fabulous, but would probably outgrow it's space in a year. But it would be sooo worth it. I can only grow it as an annual here.
