Blackberries and climbing squash

I was wondering if anyone had ever planted zucchini or acorn squash with thorn-less blackberries. I have about 3 feet around each blackberry plant that is sitting vacant and i need a space for the squash. I would make sure the vines do not cover the blackberry canes.
