virginia waterleaf and roses

I love them both but wonder if the Virginia waterleaf will over run my roses and kill them. Should I try and get rid of it. Thanks

RE: virginia waterleaf and roses

Just saw your old message in Gardenweb. You may already have figured out that waterleaf is an aggressive plant. I would strongly suggest that as soon as you can this spring you remove the waterleaf to another site; otherwise I think you will find it soon will out-compete your roses for water & nutrients. Waterleaf is quite hardy & likes shade, roses prefer sun. Make both plants happier! Good luck.
