Companion for pimento

| I am putting together an edible landscaping bed, which will include a pimento pepper in a rather large pot. I'm wondering what herb/flower/green might be a compatible match with the pepper. I know tomatoes and basil like to grow together...ditto peppers and basil? I'm also wondering if I can stick a "Gem" marigold in the pot as well. Thanks for any ideas! (I also have a tomato in an identical pot, but it's a fairly rangy indeterminate variety, so I'm guessing it will overgrow anything else I might plant with it, except for something that can hang over the edge.) |

basil, okra, peppers are mutually beneficial, peppers benefit from soybeans, peppers benefit carrots, and onion, and yes marigold protets also does catnip but be careful catnip NEEDS to be in pots for control tomatos antagonize peppers which i found out after i planted them next to each other this year!oops garlic protects lots also have fun yum yum |
