I'd like groundcover suggestions for two places: in a morning sun only area where I have a pink Bonica rose and some pink and white garden phlox; then in a mostly shadey area where I have a variety of astilbe. I know I will need something moisture tolerant for both areas that won't strangle the plants. Lamium was most unhappy with my astilbe and had to be moved to a drier area. I've tried nothing under the rose and phlox yet. Any ideas?
