Good Companion Plants in Vegetable Garden

Sarah - RSA(9?)

I came across a handy list in one of my books (Food From Your Garden, by JG Simpson). Examples:

Apples with Chives = Less chance of apple scab disease

Beans with Marigold = Repels beetles

Anyone wanting a copy of this list, e-mail me.

Is there a reason why it was not posted on the site so all could enjoy it without having to request it. It clearly is a very popular item!

I also have a compiled veg companion chart. I have used green and red background in the chart for friend or foe. It is in Word 2000 format but I can create the pdf file if requested.

E-mail with "Veg Com Chart" in the subject. All others will be deleted.

Different plants are good for each other but remember no tobacco near tomatos or peepper..... if you're growing tobacco in the vegetable garden.... which you're probably not...... anyway.... chives are always good and onions.... shallots etc. anything garlicy ........ Marigolds and calendula are goood......:)

LOL. This thread is hilarious. Wonder why the list wasn't just provided, or a link....

Anyway, here are a few I've found. I hope they're helpful.

I wonder how many of the emails in this thread have already been picked up by web crawlers and will now be inundated with spam. I used the wikipedia list for a while and finally broke down and bought the book Carrots Love Tomatoes.
