Does anyone have experience and recommendations for good companion plants for oriental poppies: either annuals or perennials?

Classic companions are Lupinus polyphyllus (same bloom time and annual growth cycle, in different range of colors and with contrasting spike-shaped inflorescences) and Gypsophila paniculata (comes on as poppies die down and covers them over, extends flowering season of planting area).
