| Greetings,
I'm looking for some good companion plants/shrubs/perennials to go with Fat Albert Spruce and Red Prince Weigela...preferably low growing...but not limited to. |

| Hi spruceitup! Maybe a Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Mops' and a mugo pine? The idea would be to vary the color, form, and texture of the conifers in the grouping, making them the structural backbone of the rest of your plant grouping. A red-twigged dogwood for that pop of red in winter too. Grasses to soften the strong shapes, add movement, with upright sedum, to lend an architectural quality. These are my two personal favorites, the little black dresses of the garden, LOL. |
