Container garden layout help

This won't matter until next spring but... I have three large 25 gallon containers that are now empty. I plan on companion planting in them. So far I have these layouts as ideas (below). The only problem is that corn needs to be spaced more than I think my layouts allow.

--Corn in center, Cucumber 2nd from inside, 3rd comes pole beans, and outer rim is lettuce.
--Red Pepper in center, rimmed by onions and an outer rim of strawberries.
--Vining Squash in the center, ringed by corn, another ring of bush beans, and a final ring of eggplant.

All I'm looking for here is maximized variety and quality. I don't have actual garden space on the ground so these containers are all I've got. They can be adjusted to any light condition. Ideas?

RE: Container garden layout help

I've been a container gardener for over 15 years, but measure my containers by their diameter. We also grow different edibles, and I stick to pairings. I've learned that tomatoes and chard work well; tomatoes also work well with herbs. Blueberries and kale work together. I add fresh compost to the soil every year when I plant anything and maintain about two plus inches of mulch. Enjoy.
