Much of the time identifications of these to the species level will be based on details of needles and cones that are not visible in these pictures. The Mediterranean species in particular resemble one another, provide a basis for the genus having been interpreted in the past as consisting of two species - a Mediterranean one and a Himalayan one. There may also have been some crossing of cultivated stocks so that particular individuals can be additionally hard to place - too hard to place from general views such as these.

so the different shapes of trees are not necessarily properties of the species / cultivar? if i add close up photos of the needles will it be helpful?
I tried to google for a guide or something but couldn't find something useful.

You are calling these cultivars,,,which are selected mutations,,,cultivated or cloned to produce same,,,these are species plants maybe with variations
collected seed will produce species plants
even seed collected from dwarf cultivars will GENERALLY produce species plants with some exceptions
