pine broom and ID?

Saw this pine broom last week in Houston, Texas.

Could it be P. taeda (loblolly pine)? Thanks!

Pics have appeared now! Could be P. taeda, could be P. elliottii, needs a clearer view of the cones to be sure.

Thanks! Looks more like P. taeda now; needles consistently in 3s fits that (mix of 2s and 3s for P. elliottii)

Nice broom Nate! You are getting broom discoveries in quit a few states. Is this on your bucket list? Sorry no help with ID.

Rob, no plans to harvest this one, although if I lived in Houston I might try it.

Nate, its good that you have your eyes out for brooms. Also all the other photos you have shared over the years of conifers and the landscapes they come from have brought enjoyment to me and I am sure many others! thanks for those also! You doing any grafting this winter/spring?
