| Here's a picture I took last Fall of some conifers in my garden. It's a strange combination.

| Nice ! ....thanks for the photo! Mine are just going through their second winter - buried in snow. I'm not too concerned, as Cryptomerias are supposedly Z5 trees.... |

| I really believe the "Araucariodes" cultivar is the coolest cryptomeria. They have a fabulous one at the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. Very unique looking. Have any cuttings? |

| "They have a fabulous one at the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. Very unique looking." Can anyone post a photo, please ? PS. Agree that "the "Araucariodes" cultivar is the coolest cryptomeria" -- yet its NOT widely available: Took me ages to get the two I have.... |

| I can take cuttings this Fall. Now is the wrong time. I missed the the one at the National Arboretum when I was there a few years ago. It would be fun to go back and see how things have grown in the last 15 years. |

| Check out 'Spiralis'. That's my favorite! Here's the one I saw at the US arb. I'll note for you guys that all the cryps there were burnt and scraggly. There was "one" in the moist hills of the Japanese Garden that was perfect. The others were junk. Not that plants are, but they did not like the climate there! 'Araucarioides'
