I suggest you the use of Picea troemneri x 1972 Allan Troemner terminology for this omorika x pungens Kosteri hybrid spruce.

Nice pics of the Picea maximowiczii...propogated/grafted 1953? from the huge specimen at Westtown School Arboretum, West Chester, PA. I believe the Longwood Gardens example is also derived from the Westtown tree.

A very nice spruce that is rarely encountered or offered 'In the trade' . There's probably less than a dozen clones in the US and thats likely a liberal estimation!

Nate, that fourth pic which you named Picea glauca, is that the weeping form found by this arboretum which they call 'Pendula'?

Edwin, yes here is the sign that tells the story of Jean Iseli propagating this tree.

Really nice thread. Some great looking trees. I would love to find a place to buy a Sakhalin Spruce or get some seeds if I couldn't get a plant. Not to mention the other great trees here like the Chinese yew is great and on and on...

Please let me know if you know of a place I can get any of these.
