yep .. looks like a few of mine ... well established plants no less .. all from winter damage ...

i am not sure.. i would want to look at that in its very prime spot ... out on my 5 acres.. its another thing ...

if you have a warranty ... talk with your seller ...

make sure you talk with us.. before you plant a replacement ... as i am not sure SC had the winter i had.. so i suspect improper planting.. improper watering.... rootbound stock.. or bad stock for other reasons ...

the problem .. one of them.. with conifers.. evergreens... is that by the time they brown ... SHOW THE DAMAGE ... you arent sure when the damage actually happened ...

mine were damaged.. because i had a z4 winter.. in my usual z5 ... i highly doubt SC had a z4 event ...

if you were to get a replacement.. i am not sure i would plant it.. in the high heat of summer ... i might put it in full shade ... and hold it until it cools off in fall ... hence the suggestion to come back and ask ...

note the prior reply ... this side of the forum is rarely used ...
