    Sam, nice pics!

Some import info to mention here at this gallery:
In several conifer books Larix gmellinii 'Dortmund' and 'Romberg Park' are mentioned as 2 differend brooms of this species but I found out that both brooms are the same one...
This is because the Romberg Park is situated in Dortmund...

Edwin, for me this is great news because I had a 'Dortmund' that passed away a couple of years ago. If they are in fact the same plant, all the happened was preventing a duplicate!

Are we sure there weren't two brooms found in Dortmund, though?

Yep, we can be sure, the species Larix gmelinii is very rare and is only planted in that area at the Romberg Park.

    Very interesting! Thanks again, Edwin.

Do you happen to have Larix decidua 'Krejci' in your collection that you can share a picture?

Larix decidua 'Cherry Valley' (seems to be developing an irregular, somewhat-upright habit)

Ireena, thanks for your beautiful pics!
As told before, I would like to swap some scions with you of those.

    Some name corrections:
    Larix kaempferi 'Steff's Weeping'
    Must be written as
    Larix kaempferi 'Stiff Weeper'

    Larix kaempferi 'Gray Pearl'
    Must be written as
    Larix kaempferi 'Grey Pearl'

    Larix kaempferi 'Tunis'
    Must be written as
    Larix kaempferi 'Peve Tunnis'

    Larix kaempf 'Diana' is right.
It's named after the God of the hunting.

The 'Krejci' at my collection is as big as yours.
Sam, now you see how mine is looking... :0)

    Hi, Edwin!
Thank you very much for the name corrections. Even farms tend to make mistakes. Therefore, I seek the correct names on the books or on the Internet. But the info is often different. Nice to know the truth from a competent gardener:) I started to make my conifers collection catalog - with pictures and descriptions (I am computer designer - it's my main job). So I have to know precisely plant names.

I can share with scions, of course, but I don't know how it's done. When they cut, how big them needed and how to send them to you:) Maybe you can tell me? I do not have such experience.

    Ireena.

I wanted to show some pictures - the first dew points on soft shoots of Larix. Do not believe that soon they will remain golden and then the whole beauty disappear. However on winter the nude branches look interesting - especially 'Horstmann's Recurved'. This plant is definitely crazy - I never know which will grow in each of the next summer:)

Beautifull 'Diana'! I like this larix - gentle and graceful. I have one too, but it is grafted on the stem. And I don't know, what I can do with it on future! It grows very rapidly..... Maybe cut on spring like willow?:)
