I'm having trouble figuring out the dieback problem with the new growth on this Abies pinsapo, Aurea'. The new growth has been also coming in on a random time scale instead of one push. Adequate water, good drainage and sun. No fertilizer. Mike {{gwi:613613}}
Thank you Dave. That's what I figured as there were no signs of insect damage or insects, and I looked real close. I'm getting needle blight on some of my Cedars also. I understand the two are not related. Yes, we did have a wet Spring. Mike
The new foliage on my 'Marokko' yellowed and dropped needles which I attributed to the endlessly wet summer. I transplanted it to a border and it seems happier. There was a matted feel to the container mix surface like a fungus which isn't in any others.
