| I wish I could grow this species around here. I'm afraid it would need quite the warm micro-climate to thrive. Beautiful though, I like how the shedding branchlets are more red-brown than plain "dead" brown. |

Here's one down by the pond. I have some that are larger and will take a picture later today when it's light out. Dawn Redwood on the right. Goldrush. On the far right is a normal Dawn Redwood species. Picture taken last summer.

| I don't think they will live in your zone. It's too late for cuttings this year, at least for me. I take cuttings in the Fall and I didn't do it this year. E-mail me early next Fall and I will send you some for rooting. I have plenty. I just pruned two pickups worth of branches for the chipper. |
