whats growing up the huge tree a few houses back ...

and why are all those trees topped .. fruit???

if it werent eye-tearingly cold here.. the snow pix would be mildly entertaining ...

nice leader explosion on that last pic ... in a year or two.. you wont be able to take a pic of the neighbors ...

I think it is a form of ivy climbing that tree. Yes, the trees that have been pruned are all apple or pear trees.
The leader seen in the last picture belongs to Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Compacta Pendula'.

I like the pinus too, but spruces are my favorites!! My sign in a tree horoscope is spruce.... I was born in January.
