mailing scions in winter - issues to be aware of?

I want to get some Abies grandis scions to graft onto my A. firma & A. nordmanniana rootstock plants. A. grandis is the last fir I really need to complete my collection because the fragrance of it is just so darn incredible. Probably the best foliar fragrance I've ever smelled.

Notwithstanding the issue of sourcing it - though I'm open with help on that if anyone has access to a particularly good form of it - is there going to be a problem just having the person put them in a small priority mail box, wrapped in plastic with a wet paper towel? If they are dormant, I assume there's really no way they can get too cold. Could the brief 8-12 hours they might be warm, waiting in a post office overnight, cause a problem?
