Hey Ken - I took a big zip-lock style bag, moistened a paper towl and wrung it out, and placed both the damp towl and the scion in the plastic bag. Bag with the scion is stored in the refrigerator.

Please get rid of the moistened paper, with this you'll get the opposite of your goal.
By using this it will be to moisy in the bag and fungusses will appaer.
It's much better to put them dry in the bag, it can hold this way for about 2 weeks without any problems...

coniferjoy - I was told placing cuttings in bags dry like that would lose viability sooner, that scions survived better with increased humidity. The paper towel is barely damp - I wrung as much water out of it as possible.

Please forget about the moistened paper.
Another bad thing by using one which is wrung out is that it will suck the moisture out of the scion and will dry out so the quallity is less or bad for grafting...
