Did the Chinese get permission to grow our Taxodium or maize..or potatoes?

WOW! Resembles Podocarpus henkelii which is one of my favorite conifers that I cannot grow.

This specimen was donated to us from the Atlanta Botanical garden. I have been tempted to plant it but am first trying to get some more growth so it over winters in an unheated greenhouse. Had a great visit with Henk and Edwin here. Great plantsman -- more to follow later.

We have some Torreya jackii in Hungary at Debreczy and in private gardens. They are well in z6 in southern stages.
