I have been thinking of trying to organize a pollen exchange among owners of Cathayas. I assume that many of us have only one plant, so having access to pollen for out-crosses would be a benefit to anyone wanting to get seed.

Even if it is possible to get them to self, I think that cross-pollination would be a good idea for the population of these trees living outside China.

I would envision getting a list of addresses that I would then send out to everyone on the list. Your commitment would be to send pollen to everyone on the list.

If the list was huge, I would probably split it by latitude, so that people with pollen maturing at similar times could exchange.

So... does anyone have interest in participating in this?
