Arizona Cypress Cupressus 'Silver Smoke'

Posted by lsst (My Page) on

I posted this in trees and it was suggested I post here.

Does anyone have experience with this cultivar?
How does it compare in size, shape and color to 'Blue
Ice' and 'Carolina Sapphire'?

I read online that it is a slow grower. I thought Arizona Cypress Cupressus in general is a fast grower.

Thanks in advance!

Well 'Blue Ice' is pretty fast - I planted a pretty regular-sized #15 about three years ago and it has doubled in size. I also have a C. 'Blue Pyramid' which has been slower, but I put that in as a #5 about the same time, and it may just be in the 'creep' stage instead of the 'leap' stage. 'Silver Smoke' sure looks like it was named appropriately - my two are VERY blue.
