    Hi Sam, wb hunting is fun and relax only. I'll soon be seventy years old /born 46/, my young wife too. Iôv been working like a film dramaturg and Maria is Phd of psychology. We're pensioners now and gardening is a wonderful hobby.
    We need not pay for fitness etc, etc.

    {{gwi:641779}}

    Yes, there is a small homebiz in our family for making money, mlm system, but it's not gardening.
    Btw this system is excellent, help me with my body prevention and fitness etc and is an international of course.
    If you're interested in making money, please contact me by mail.

    that pine broom is amazing. It looks like a rock with a few needles. What is your success rate with scionwood so tiny? I'm surprised that you still attach only scion per understock. I'm also amazed that you can still use a normal grafting knife instead of a scalple for such delicate surgery.

  • coniferjoy
    11 years ago

    The sad thing is that some day that grafted pine will be as tight as it's mother broom and will die slowly.
    For that reason I quit propagating such a dense one's.
    It's not funny to see them die when they are at it's beautiest...

    Jan, looking back to your first pics of this topic, I see that most of the Picea abies witches' brooms are having another colour than the tree they're hanging in.
    Their colour is more blue-ish instead of green, I've seen this before at other brooms of this species as well.
    Do you know why this is?

    I hope you're not going to tell me that they're blue-ish to make it much easier on you to find them :0)
