Colorado Blue Spruce Trees

I bought several of these trees from Lowes a few years ago. All but two have grown well and are about 5 or 6 feet tall. Two of these trees however have not grown. They look the same as the day I bought them. They are not dead either. Can you help me understand this? I was thinking I might tear them out come spring but thought I better run this by you folks. Thanks again for your help.

hey mary ...

conifers dont hold there needles forever ... most losing them after a few years...

yours has to be different that when you bought them.. a few years ago ... or they wouldnt have any needles ...

i am wondering if you didnt get some mislabeled dwarf or mini picea pungens thrown in with the lot..

and only a picture or two.. would answer that

Right^.. Can you see buds at the ends of the branches and branchlets? And if so, are these buds firm and plump? Or dried husks with no life inside'em?
