Nice Pine screen/windbreak

I have noticed that people are often asking for suggestions for screens/windbreaks on the forum, and I finally got around to one that I have been admiring. I am not good on identifying species so I will leave that for others to do, and if anyone has info on how these Pines were made to grow in such a uniform fashion that would be appreciated also.

RE: Nice Pine screen/windbreak

They've been sheared. Fairly tricky work with pines, it has to be done carefully by someone who knows what to do without leaving any bare dead patches.

The ones in the close-up pics are Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris), but some of the others (the yellower ones in the first and third pics) are something different; can't tell exactly what from the pics though.
